This plant has an air of distinction and, when in flower, is extremely desirable. The foliage mound of fine, rather reedy stems produce long, arching wands, that carry pendulous pink to purple flowers. Best in full sun or part shade, planted in a fertile well-drained soil. They are attractive near water, but careful positioning is necessary as the corms must not get too wet over winter.
