Autrefois, on disait \u00abplantes grasses\u00bb, mais ces v\u00e9g\u00e9taux contiennent de la s\u00e8ve, pas de la graisse. Les succulentes ont des tiges potel\u00e9es ou des feuilles \u00e9paisses qui conservent l\u2019humidit\u00e9 sous forme de s\u00e8ve. Avec ces r\u00e9serves d\u2019eau sucr\u00e9e, elles peuvent traverser la s\u00e9cheresse en demeurant indemnes. Certaines ont des tiges \u00e9paisses, d\u2019autres des feuilles \u00e9paisses, d\u2019autres sont \u00e9paisses de partout!
