Dans sa chronique La main verte de ce samedi matin 19 juillet 2025, Alain Baraton a affirm\u00e9 que &#8220;le Dipladenia et le Mandevilla c&#8217;est la m\u00eame plante&#8230;&#8221; ce qui est une approximation un peu rapide. En effet, les deux <em><strong>genres<\/strong><\/em> botanique <em>Dipladenia<\/em> et <em>Mandevilla<\/em> ont exist\u00e9 s\u00e9par\u00e9ment avant d&#8217;\u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme synonymes au b\u00e9n\u00e9fice du seul genre <em>Mandevilla<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AB poursuit ainsi son explication vaseuse : &#8220;&#8230; il y a une tradition qui voudrait que, quand la plante est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e [&#8230;] de mani\u00e8re arbustive on l&#8217;appelle Dipladenia, et quand elle plut\u00f4t pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re grimpante on l&#8217;appelle plut\u00f4t Mandevilla. Mais c&#8217;est le m\u00eame v\u00e9g\u00e9tal !&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/www.rezeau.org\/wp-garden\/wp-content\/uploads\/baraton_mandevilla.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>AB a sans doute oubli\u00e9 ses (vagues) notions de botanique et l&#8217;importante distinction entre genre et esp\u00e8ce. S&#8217;il est exact de dire qu&#8217;en botanique stricte on ne conna\u00eet qu&#8217;un seul genre <em>Mandevilla<\/em>, ce genre comprend plusieurs esp\u00e8ces, et il est inexact d&#8217;affirmer que ces diff\u00e9rentes esp\u00e8ces sont un seul et m\u00eame &#8220;v\u00e9g\u00e9tal&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il y a quelques ann\u00e9es, papi Jo a plant\u00e9 dans son jardin un <em>Mandevilla laxa<\/em> (ou <em>suaveloens<\/em>), aussi appel\u00e9 &#8220;jasmin du Chili&#8221;. Cette jolie liane est une plante qui ressemble aux nombreuses esp\u00e8ces et vari\u00e9t\u00e9s de mandevillas vendus dans le commerce sous le nom g\u00e9n\u00e9rique de dipladenias, mais s&#8217;en distingue notamment par <em>son d\u00e9licieux parfum<\/em>, absent de ces autres vari\u00e9t\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped
