O. sensibilis is a deciduous, rhizomatous fern forming extensive colonies of broad, light green, pinnate fronds to 60cm in length, the pinnae deeply lobed. Shorter, narrow fertile fronds have much reduced, blackish lobes. [Source: RHS]


2020 – Starts going out again in mid-March. Nice new fronds at the beginning of April. Slightly scorched by a little heat stroke on May 16th. To be watched.

2019- Bought at Végétal Passion and planted in 2-litre pots hung on the trellis under the pergola to experiment with a ” fern wall “.
