New plants in the garden…

Back from the Cesson-Sévigné plant festival, with 2 ferns for the “ferns wall”, and a Hoheria sexstylosa “Stardust”. The latter will replace the Chinese lilac which did not resist this summer’s heat wave. This shrub is quite similar to the Eucryphia I planted in 2015 and which has hardly grown…

A Hongkonger in Papi Jo’s garden!

Due to this summer’s heat wave, two shrubs have given up in Papi Jo’s garden. Namely the Chinese lilac Syringa Microphylla Superba which will have lived only 4 years in the garden. It will be replaced by the Physocarpus opulifolius ‘Red Baron’ which I planted nearby and which is cramped….
