Differs from the species, by the fans of crested foliage at the apex. Glossy brown stipes and rachis. Narrow, once pinnate blades are linear with 20 or 30 pairs of round to oblong, matt green pinnae; forming dense rosettes. Sori and indusia are arranged in a herringbone pattern. Plant in a chalky or acidic, well-drained soil in shade or medium shade. Evergreen. Height : 5/20cm. Hardiness : -30°C.
