Genus Exochorda are bushy deciduous shrubs with simple, pale green leaves and saucer-shaped, 5-petalled white flowers in terminal racemes in spring or summer.

Details ‘The Bride’ is a medium-sized, rounded deciduous shrub with arching branches bearing oblong, pale green leaves; flowers 3cm in width, white, in short racemes from late spring.
