A greenfinch in the garden
This afternoon, just after the sunflower seeds feeder had been refilled, a greenfinch paid a visit to the feeder in the ‘Evereste’ apple tree. He was quickly chased away by the goldfinches, which will empty the feeder in no time at all.
Too many guests!
Today no less than 7 goldfinches at the same time fighting for a seat at the feeder with sunflower seeds.

The goldfinches have clearly understood that papi Jo regularly refills the feeder with sunflower seeds. As soon as my back is turned, they rush like gluttons.
New birdie in garden

Dinner’s ready!
Sparrows having a great time at the grease balls on my crab apple tree. Shy blue tits only come when the boisterous sparrows have flown away.
Improving the ‘blue tits first’ system
The sparrows have got a bit cleverer and managed to remove the plastic ‘skirt’ protection (see my previous post here & photos). I have improved the system, with a ceramics ‘hat’!
