A short visit to the local garden centre this afternoon to restock the food for the little birdies in the garden. Bought 5 kilos of sunflower seeds and a big box (9 kilos) of fat balls. This should last for a month or two.
During our shopping, I talked with Sebastien, who takes care of the plants. He kindly gave us a gift of 2 large bulbs (10 cm) of Naples cyclamen (Cyclamen hederifolium) which are soon arriving at the end of the planting period. One of these 2 bulbs will be joining the 3 specimens planted at the foot of the ‘Evereste’ apple tree to replace the 4th specimen that has never condescended to emerge from the soil in 4 years!
