Another plant native to the southern hemisphere is present in Papi Jo’s garden, the so-called Kaffir lily, Hesperantha coccinea (former name Schizostylis coccinea). It is supposed to flower from autumn until Christmas and even beyond. In fact, it is in flower at any time it wants.
Note.- The term Kaffir can be considered offensive by some people. In South Africa, it initially loosely referred to black South Africans.
